We want to assure you that the LIANZA 2021 conference will be going ahead on Nov 9-11. The current Level 4 lockdown re-confirms the need for all our contingency planning, which has been activated.
HYBRID OR VIRTUAL?
We are planning for a hybrid conference which combines a "live" in-person conference with a "virtual" online conference. One event - two audiences. If the conference cannot be held as a hybrid event (for example due to COVID alert Level Two or higher) the conference will switch to fully virtual.
We will plan to pre-record the keynotes, papers and lightening talks as a back-up, in case the in-person presentations cannot be delivered at the venue. This will ensure that all the conference content will be ready to share online at a fully virtual conference. While we hope to be together at Te Papa, the pre-records will ensure that these diverse conference presentations can be shared virtually. Our conference workshops, panels, our debate, sector kōrero and some NZ keynotes will be delivered live via our virtual platform.
If you are presenting in person at the conference, you will be contacted by the Conference Company in the next few weeks to arrange the pre-recording of your presentation.
REGISTRATIONS AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFERRED
If we do need to move to a fully virtual conference in early November, if you are registered to attend in-person you will be automatically transferred to the virtual conference. You will be refunded that portion of the registration fee which exceeds the value of the equivalent virtual registration.
WHAT WILL YOU EXPERIENCE?
Seven international keynotes, six keynotes from New Zealand, 43 papers, 21 lightening talks, three sector korero, five panels, one debate and twelve workshops.
Remember all content is being recorded and will be available to each delegate for two months after the conference.
