NSS is an important annual campaign that supports children’s literacy by encouraging reading in a fun, community event. This is a joint project between LIANZA and ALIA.
Now celebrating its 25th successful year, and following on from the most successful year yet, 2025’s reading of The Truck Cat will bring to life a new generation of enthusiastic readers.
- Registrations for NSS 2025 are open now. Registration is free and open to all. Register your school, school library, public library, childcare centre, community group, or your family home. All registrations receive a PDF copy of the book on Monday 19 May 2024, along with a range of exclusive resources.
- NSS 2025 merchandise is selling fast, order today to make sure you don’t miss out. We have sticker sheets, bookmarks, temporary tattoos, posters and bunting available.
- Join the buzz on social media and post selfies of you and your pets (not just cats) enjoying “The Truck Cat” together. Don’t forget to use the hashtags #NSS2025, #TheTruckCat, #LibraryStorytime so everyone knows you are joining in on NSS 2025.
