The Out on the Shelves campaign month provides an important opportunity to include, uplift and celebrate rainbow people and their stories in schools and communities across Aotearoa New Zealand. The campaign boasts an array of programming, workshops, events and competitions for rainbow young people and participating school and community libraries. Including our library pride display competition and rainbow writing competition for young writers.

OOTS Pride Display Competition
As part of the OOTS campaign libraries across the motu are encouraged to create a pride-themed display promoting their rainbow reading collections. By creating a display and promoting the rainbow items in your collection, you are indicating to rainbow communities that they are valued, safe and included in your space.
