Contribute to Library Life

Contributors

Do you have some research or news that you'd like to share with the rest of LIANZA's members? Then feel free to submit them to the editor at editor@lianza.org.nz or through the LIANZA National Office.

Guidelines for contributors to Library Life

Keep it short and sweet

Most articles should be no longer than 700 words, letters less than 250, and events 40 words or less, longer contributions may be summarised. Additional materials are allowed to be used as an adjunct to the main story.

Keep it relevant

Library Life is a national news magazine, and items are accepted for publication because they will interest or entertain LIANZA members across the country.

Photographs and illustrations

Photographs are welcome. They should be in focus, and with an uncluttered background. Illustrations which help to highlight the important aspects of your story (such as graphs) are also most welcome. Please submit images in jpeg or tif format or send us photos by mail, if you prefer, to the address below.

Format

We would prefer to receive electronic copy of your article, as either e-mail or disk-based copy (most word-processing packages are fine). If you cannot provide electronic copy, please mail or fax a clean copy, double-spaced, in a reasonably large mono-spaced font. If you are unsure about how to send your article, please call the office.

Keep us informed

Let us know that an item is on the way. If you want to bend any of these guidelines please call us and let us know.
