Copyright Advice

It is important that members have an understanding of copyright and how it affects the library and information sector. This includes knowledge of the New Zealand Copyright Act 1994 and applicable licensing agreements.

LIANZA, through the Standing Committee on Copyright, can respond to members’ queries about their obligations or uncertainties under copyright law. Please direct queries to the Chair.

LIANZA also has a variety of resources compiled which may be helpful to you. Tony Millet, Chair from 2009-2014 has been instrumental in developing these resources. There is also an Online Course for interested members - Copyright: Guidelines for Librarians.
