Marketing the Profession Working Group Announced

4 July 2008

We had an overwhelming response to our call for ‘Expressions of Interest' for the Marketing the Profession Working Group and it is pleasing to see the level of interest and support for this project.

We would like to thank everyone who expressed interest for their enthusiasm and willingness to contribute to this important LIANZA work.

Those selected for the Working Group will be representing different library sectors and will work with sub-groups operating outside the sphere of the main Working Group to produce materials.

The Working Group will be responsible for developing resources to promote all sectors of the library and information profession that target both students and careers advisors.

The members of the Working Group are:

Paula Murdoch (Hastings District Libraries)
Louise Booth (Dunedin Public Libraries)
Rosemary Nicholls (Christchurch City Libraries)
Tangimeriana Maxine Rua (Tauranga City Libraries)
Rosalba Finnerty (Marsden School)
Jane Arlidge (NorthTec)
Helena Westwick (Auckland University)
Shannon Wellington (Victoria University)
Rietta Barnard (The Treasury)
Timoti Ross (Te Wananga o Awanuiarangi)
