2011 Joint Letter Of Recognition For Bicultural Development Announcement

LIANZA Council is delighted to advise that the ‘Joint Letter of Recognition for Bicultural Development within New Zealand Aotearoa’ has been awarded to The Working Group for the Workshop on Matauranga Maori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Rangahau to support the Body of Knowledge 11.

This group comprised of; Bernie Johnson, Eddie Neha, Haki Tahana, Mereana Coleman, Tangimeriana Rua, Moheka Williams and Hinerangi Kara 

The workshop team has created an outstanding one-day workshop to support the Body of Knowledge 11’ which contributes to bicultural development and offers a real understanding of the issues for those employed in the library and information professions.  It covers both personal and organizational aspects of biculturalism, and enables each participant to develop and improve their understanding of Kaupapa Maori.

Congratulations to these deserving winners.  A formal presentation will be made at the LIANZA 2011 Conference.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the winners. All of my staff, except one, have attended one of these workshops and I have to say they are excellent. I was fortunate to attend the one held in the Waikato and the Working Group created an unforgettable experience.Well deserved :)
