Te Ropu Whakahau - Maori Library and Information Workers Association has been formed to encourage Maori participation in Library Information work, and educational resourcing. The group has a formal partnership with the LIANZA (based on the Treaty of Waitangi) and consists of Maori who work or have an interest in Libraries, Archives and Information Management. There is also a category of Membership available to those Institutions and Individuals who are not of Maori descent, but who wish to support the group's Kaupapa.
