LIANZA to recognise Bicultural Development

Applications have opened for LIANZA's 2016 Joint Letter of Recognition which can be awarded to Individuals, groups or organisations for special bicultural service to the library and information profession, as well as a demonstrated commitment to biculturalism over a period of time to the profession, or for an outstanding contribution bi-culturally to librarianship, libraries or information management in New Zealand Aotearoa.

The nomination form can be found here.

All nominations should include a statement in support of the nomination. The statement should state clearly the grounds for proposing the nomination in terms of the criteria for the award. Criteria includes:

  • The Nominee has made a contribution of a significant special service to bicultural services in the information profession
  • The nominee has demonstrated commitment to biculturalism over a period of time to the profession
  • The nominee has made an outstanding contribution bi-culturally to librarianship, libraries or information management in New Zealand

You will need to provide sufficient supporting evidence of the nominee's achievements as part of the nomination

Nominations close on 30 June.
