Transport will be provided directly from the Powhiri venue to the Art Gallery. For those attending the welcome function only it is about a 10 – 15 minute walk from the conference hotels or a short taxi ride. One ticket is included in the full delegate registration fee. Even though this is an inclusive function, for catering purposes you must indicate your intention to attend within the online registration form.

Monday 12 SeptemberNewcomer’s LunchBoaters Restaurant Christchurch Town Hall 12 noon If you are attending your first conference or you are new to the library world this is your opportunity to meet with other newcomers over lunch in Boaters Restaurant, overlooking the scenic Avon River. One ticket is included in the full delegate registration fee and the Monday day registration fee. Even though this is an inclusive function, for catering purposes you must indicate your intention to attend within the online registration form.
National Library Drinks with the ExhibitorsChristchurch Convention Centre 5.30pm – 6.30pm Recover from the first busy day of conference. Enjoy a drink or two with the Exhibitors following the LIANZA Children’s Book Awards, sponsored by the National Library. One ticket is included in the full delegate registration fee and the Monday day registration fee. Even though this is an inclusive function, for catering purposes you must indicate your intention to attend within the online registration form. Evening FreeWe will be producing a Conference Café or Restaurant Guide which you will find in your conference satchel. The Organising Committee has suggested their favourite eating (and drinking!) spots in Christchurch and there will truly be something for everyone, ranging from casual and funky to fine dining. We will provide descriptions, average prices and phone numbers. You can either give your restaurant of choice a call and book a table or the registration desk staff will be happy to do this on your behalf.
Tuesday 13 SeptemberPre-dinner Drinks and3M Awards PresentationPre-function Foyer Christchurch Convention Centre 6.30pm – 7.30pm Come dressed to kill ready for the conference dinner and enjoy a drink with 3M while their award is announced. Attendance at the pre-dinner drinks is included in the price of your conference dinner ticket.
Emerald Conference Dinner“Come Dancing”  Halls A and B Christchurch Convention Centre 7.30pm until late This is your chance to shine in red, gold or silver. Pack your best frock and your dancing shoes, bring your dance card and come ready to trip the light fantastic. You will be treated to a wonderful selection of dance styles from all around the world and you will have the opportunity to join in and show us your style! Be prepared to dance the night away! Cost (including pre-dinner drinks): $90.00 (including GST)
Wednesday 14 SeptemberRaeco Recovery BreakfastLimes Room Christchurch Town Hall Meet the challenge of “the Morning after the Night Before” by joining Raeco for a nourishing breakfast. The entertainment is guaranteed to wake you up and prepare you for the challenge of your final day at the conference!
