We have a great opportunity for someone with passion and energy to promote the many services and resources we offer and to encourage life-long use of libraries in our community. You are an ideas person who can design and coordinate programmes and events that showcase the library to the community. You will have a good knowledge of Invercargill’s resources and its people, with some established networks and contacts in the community an added bonus. With your keen interest in computing and social networking, you will display a good understanding of Web 2.0 applications in helping to coordinate and contribute to the Library’s Web presence. Also, whilst working as an integral member of the Circulation Desk team, with your warm and friendly manner you will relate well to people from all walks of life. Some rostered evening shifts and occasional weekend duties are required. Your success in this full-time role will come from your drive, enthusiasm and outstanding people skills.
