LIANZA Awards

LIANZA funds 18 regular awards which recognises excellence in librarianship, scholarship, children's book production (fiction, illustration, non-fiction, and Te Reo), as well as encouraging professional development.

LIANZA also administers the 3M Award for innovation in Libraries and the YBP Award for Collection services.

The first award to be established was the Esther Glen Award in 1945 and is New Zealand's longest running book prize.

Through its awards LIANZA encourages improving standards and promotes professional recognition.
