Research Register
The Research Register was launched at the 2003 LIANZA Conference. This is a 'wiki' hosted by the IT-SIG and it can be found at: http://wiki.lianza.org.nz/index.php/Research/Projects. For research projects conducted by students in the MLIS programme see http://www.vuw.ac.nz/dlis/courses/550/550authlist.html. Some of these are listed in the Victoria University Library catalogue and are available on loan. The Research SIG List The Research SIG maintains an email list for discussion and notification of meetings. To join send a message to researchsig-subscribe@vuw.ac.nz. Non-members interested in the activities of the SIG can join the list. Research Funds The Nielsen BookData Research Award is given each year to one or more LIM researchers in New Zealand. Up to $4,000 can be awarded to a project, and money can be used to 'buy out' time at work. The Paul Szentirmay Special Librarian Scholarship can be used for research The Susan Price Scholarship supports formal research into children's literature. Applications can be made to a number of bodies for research funds including: - Department of Internal Affairs, Community Grant Schemes
- Trustees of the National Library
- Victoria University of Wellington - for enrolled research students
