jpg formats which can be imported into other computer programmes such as Publisher, Coral Draw, Illustrator and Photoshop - most suitable to be sent to print companies for reproduction.

Newsletter 4 has the airtime schedule for the 10 week campaign and heaps more ideas from libraries around New Zealand about how they are making the most of this campaign.

All public libraries should receive A2 and A3 full colour campaign posters featuring all 4 personalities in the mail during the week of July 4.

How to use the Word doc templates

A4 poster template

This is setup in Microsoft Word. We have put a text box in the template for you to add text, you can move this around and also add a picture like the example poster (click on 'Insert' then click on 'Picture' or click on 'Insert' then click on 'Insert text box'). If you print to your desk printer select 'Print', then click on 'scale to paper size' and select A4 from the drop down menu.

DL bookmark template

This is setup in Microsoft Word, 3 across an A4 sheet horizontally, I have put a text box in the template for you to add text, you can move this around and also add a picture (click on 'Insert' then click on 'Picture' or click on 'Insert' then click on 'Insert text box'). If you print to your desk printer select 'Print', then click on 'scale to paper size' and select A4 from the drop down menu. Once printed, cut each sheet into thirds. If you want to print on the reverse side we advise that you send your artwork to a print company.

Support Information for the Campaign – Your Website

There are 2 website button for you to include on the front page of your library website or Council website as the case maybe. There are 2 different sizes, it's your choice as to which is most suitable for your websites. The idea is that you will link this button to the www.nzlibraries.com site where there will be more campaign information for example, there will be interviews with the celebrities, their top 10 book lists, pictures and a link to the ads themselves. These pages will not go live until Thursday 7 July so that would be the best day to link the web button to the nzlibraries.com site.

Template for Briefing the Media

The other Word doc we have sent is the media information template. Use this as a guide to writing your release to the local media. Some of you will have already spoken with your media contacts to let them know that the ads are coming up but you can use this template to fill in the story details for them.
