Waikato/Bay of Plenty

The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Region comprises the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne Regions, and includes part of the Franklin District. The Region was formed in 1967.

The first of the informal bi-monthly networking drinks "Cocktails for Library Lovers"  was held on Thursday 30th October at The Furnace, 150 Victoria St, Hamilton.

The Committee were thrilled at the level of interest, and the number who attended including a group from South Waikato Libraries. All enjoyed a sunny evening and the chance to catch-up and extend their professional and personal network of contacts.

Tuesday 24th February 2009: Meeting at Waiariki Polytech from 5:30pm with guest speaker Sue Hill at 6:30pm speaking on professional trends in the UK and Europe.Sue Hill is an Information Management Professional based in London with regular speaking engagements in Europe.

Thursday 26th February 2009: Informal networking in Hamilton at "The Furnace"

Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd May 2009 : Waikato Bay of Plenty Weekend School to be held at Fantail Lodge, 117 Rea Road, Katikati.
